| Well, we're here! My second tour to Costa Rica and a whole country side away from all that's familiar in Ohio, Greg and I are finally starting to settle back down into some kind of normal life. We are living in Ventura, CA and are working for the amazing ministry of the Continental Singers: www.continentalsingers.org and loving every minute of it! We had a amazing tour this past summer and are so glad that the Lord was really in charge and moving through the lives of our tour members. We're so blessed to be here, Ventura is beautiful. All of you are welcome to come and visit us here anytime. Also, those of you who know Cameron Bonner, you need to keep him in your prayers. Please be updated about his medical condition at: www.continentalmemories.com | | |
| Praise the Lord for answering prayers! As of the end of August, Greg and I will be moving to Ventura, CA to work for the ministry of the Continental Singers! Thank you for all of the prayers that you have sent our way, keep them coming as we direct to Costa Rica and then embark on this huge move! | | |
| Prayer request: Greg and I are in the middle of a waiting period...we're waiting to see which doors are opened for us career wise once our tour is over this summer. We really need this decision to be covered in prayer, so if you get a second....keep us in mind. | | |
| I am so flattered by all of these responses! Anyone who wants to call to speak more frankly about relationship stuff....FEEL FREE! Or you can email me personally! Here is a bit of advice for my friend Greg Dills:
Dills...I think that true relationship integrity comes before the "bf/gf" labels. So, I would say that the fact that you and that special someone you'd like to know better have stayed in close contact and remained interested in eachother's lives even though you are miles apart...that's a great sign. That shows that there is more there than acquaintance and casual friendship. I don't think it's by accident that both of you have put in time and effort....even friends that live 5 or 10 miles away from each other....sometimes they can't seem to put in the effort and the friendship dwindles. It's good to pursue someone who has all along wanted to pursue a good, pure, strong friendship with you.
Secondly, I would like to state that I do not believe there to be just one perfect person out there for each of us. We are not meant to wander until we find "the one"....I know it's true because I am quite content married to a non-perfect man even though perfectionism is a strength and weakness of mine. God wants you to seek out a partner who puts Him first, period. If the person you are interested in is passionate about Christ and pursuing their call to His service, if they have the integrity and live by the character that we as Christians are called to live by....they are worth going for. God gave us free will for a reason, he wants us to choose freely, he did not force you to be cosmically linked to any one person. Seek His Kingdom and then marry someone who seeks His Kingdom too. No one is perfect, but it's the seeking Christ together that will get you through in the end. | | |
